Noorda Medical School Campus

What will happen?

Wasatch Education, owner of Rocky Mountain School for Health Professionals is currently preparing to build the new Noorda Medical School along with a new mixed use housing propery. The school will occupy holes 10, 11, 12  and the mixed use will occupy the vacant lot to the north of #12 tee box (The Nature’s Sunshine Parcel). Eventually, Rocky Mountain will move their entire campus to an area near the flag pole several years down the road.

Where will the golf course relocate the 3 holes?

The golf course will build three new championship holes to the west of hole #5. Two par 4’s and one par 3. Included in the design will be an island green. As you can see below, the Executive Course will remain untouched.

What is the timeline for the entire project?

  • Spring 2019- Work will begin on the 3 new holes
  • Winter of 2019-2020- Wasatch Educational will begin construction on the Natures Sunshine parcel and holes 10, 11, 12.
  • Opening day of 2020- The 3 new holes and all 18 holes along with the par 3 course will will be open for play.
  • 2023-2025- Rocky Mountain School of Heath Professionals will begin work on their campus (Area where the large flag poll and empty space between 11 and 13)

Frequently asked questions:

  • Are we losing the par 3 short course? No, East Bay will always have  a short course after the loss of 10, 11 & 12 and will remain for decades to come.
  • Are the new holes going to be as good? Kevin Atkinson of Atkinson/Phelps Design will be the course architect. We have no doubt they will be just as good, if not better.
  • Will the other 15 holes be effected? On some days you may projects taking place on holes 3, 4, 5, 9 and 13 but we anticipate functioning normally all season long in 2019, including continuing to host our  normal tournaments.
  • Will the routing change? Yes! But, as most of you know… the current East Bay routing is not exactly a dream layout. The new routing will be something that everyone will enjoy! Shorter walks between holes, better directional signage and a much better golf experience!
